Pv wire what does what?

So I wanted to try pinned pv so I disconnected this wire thinking it might stop the pv from moving but it still seems to work normally and while I'm at it there is a mysterious blue plug in between my top engine mounts I'm sure it was connected to something prior to re build anyone know?
