Engine braking after full throttle max rpm?

Engine braking in general causes wear to the cylinder walls, bearings and gearbox. That's why newer cars now rev match when you down shift.

@Irongamer727 Well it's just natural wear and tear of the internal combustion engine. Say if you wanted to maximise the life of an engine.

I always blip the throttle regardless of whether people think it's a myth or not.

Besides, I now run premix which means no throttle, no oil.

@Calum yeah I have always done that to my 2 smokers. Though I highly doubt it's necessary on a 4 stroke.

Nothing better than the sound of a throaty engine on overrun I do it on my 4strokes, sue me lol

@Irongamer727 Oil pump is driven directly off the crankshaft. So as long as the oil pump is up to the job.
