Engine braking after full throttle max rpm?
-
Doesn't change a thing, of course you can use maximum engine braking. As long as you don't push your engine and stay within the safe limits there is nothing to worry about. There's a slight myth with 2-strokes saying when you are going downhill you need to brake but accelerate as well to keep oil going into the engine. That my friend is bullshit unless you're going downhill for a very long period of time.

@Irongamer727 Well it's just natural wear and tear of the internal combustion engine. Say if you wanted to maximise the life of an engine.
I always blip the throttle regardless of whether people think it's a myth or not.
Besides, I now run premix which means no throttle, no oil.

@finnerz89 Are you running carbs or injection?
-
@Irongamer727 injection

Even after redlining at 12k rpm?

@Irongamer727 Oil pump is driven directly off the crankshaft. So as long as the oil pump is up to the job.
