2002 DT125R Engine Build

Well I'm close to getting the DT finished (Just waiting for my Zeel CDi) but I'm not happy with all the damage and bodges I keep finding on the motor. So, I'm going to build another one, I'd like to go big bore and am trying to find the non athena kit but before I get that far I want to get the bottom end and cases sorted.
Big end and mains change is a no brainer but what about matching the cases opening up ports or padding the cases, is there an idiots guide with pictures?
