    Hi.

I am trying to derestrict my DT 125 R from 2001.
I have heard about reed switch in speedometer but separating it from speedo does not make any sense to me. When it is in place its contacts are closed - logically when speedometer reaches 100km/h/60mp/h switch contacts will open. When the reed switch is pulled out it is constanly in open position. How could that derestriction work then?
I tried to rev my moto but it only reached 9k rpm...
