The router at home looks like it's packed up and since I no longer live there, it is a drive away to sort out. I have got a new server for it, curtesy of @Arite. But if the router at my parents is on the blink then obviously need to do something about that as well.

Wow, been a long time since I last backed up and updated the forum software. So I done that this morning, hence the outage.

If anything is broken, let me know. I noticed some packages are out of date, but I had to go to work so didn't get around to sorting those out!

My forum had been down for a good few days and now I’m noticing issues with my notifications I have to manually check threads to see my replies.

Not sure why it went down. But had to go over and fix it which I can't really do until the weekends due to work commitments.

Took the opportunity to upgrade and patch the software anyhow.

Right, sorry if you've been trying to access the site over the last 24 hours.

@Arite Procurred us some new hardware witht 4X the RAM. Which was one of the reasons the sites been unstable as of late.

So I've done a complete tear down and rebuild of the server over the last 24 hours and it should be back up and running now.

Any problems let me know. I tried to install the Imgur plugin but that like broke everything. So for now there is no way to upload images.

I'll look at sorting that out in the future.

IF you are experiencing problems.

You may need to clear your browsers cache as some things have changed. If the colours look off etc.

This will vary from machine to machine.

Well that was odd...

Apparently the system upgrade decided to delete the boot drive. Effectively rendering the server useless.

I don't have the tools necessary to do this on site, so I had to take the server back home with me to fix.

Luckily I back it up before I do anything, so nothing is lost.

Otherwise it's running the latest forum software and system patches.
