BOLT ON Rear Brake Solution (For Cheap)

Good Evening all, hoping to be on here a bit more in the coming months. In the run up to my MOT, I wasn’t happy with the rear brake performance on my 2006 Yamaha DT125RE (X Conversion).
Long and the short of it, the brake caliper was seized onto the carrier pin (common issue). With a bit of patience, I was able to separate the two, but damaged the brake calliper in the process.
I jumped onto eBay and to my horror found used rear brake callipers from £100, all of which would need a rebuild, pricing starting from £30 for piston and seals. An expensive mistake, you may ask..
Anyway, I debated about fitting a Brembo rear calliper to the bike, to match the front I’ve got on my X conversion.
After some generic searches, I discovered that Yamaha YBR callipers from 05/06/07 (front), looked similar and may fit the rear on my DT. I took a risk, and am pleased to report, that for a fraction of the price, 5VLF580U11 (without the carrier, is a bolt up option.
Things to note which make this a worthy upgrade, the piston for the replacement is 2mm larger, however seal and piston kits for 2000/2001/2002/2003 from Brakemasters will fit, and are a worthy OEM option (cost me £36).
Brake pads remain the same part (34X-W0046-02), it’s important to note that this is an upgrade for the rear brake carrier for 2000/2001/2002/2003 DTR, not DTRE. For some reason, before my ownership someone put an earlier rear calliper on the bike, and this wasn’t obvious until I’d checked the original drawings.
I’m sharing this little nugget as I learned that there are NO, cheap, easy, quick, bolt on, options, for brake callipers, but it turns out there are..

When I put a front calliper on the back of my bike the standard master cylinder (1/2in - 13mm) didn’t have enough volume to properly work the rear. Do you not have similar problems?
I brought a 14mm master to swap out but the project stalled. ..Funnily enough my back brake packed up today! I can see a small amount of wet dirt on the calliper and hear it squishing when pressed. The disc isn’t wet-dirty but it’s enough to loose friction…
