    Hi guys hope everyone is keeping well!

    I’m looking at getting a Genuine mikuni tm32 Flatslide carb for my dtr now I’ve started to do more performance mods,

    Boyseen dual stage reeds with rev plate
    Dep downpipe with dep s2 end can
    3MB head with new rebore and ported
    Snorkel removed

    Currently I get 79.5mph gps speed with standard gearing with big mx tyres I think that’s pretty good!

    I was just wondering would a 32mm carb fit into the airbox rubber side all good? I know I’ll have to shave Abit out of inlet side but that’s minor.

    Just seeing if anyone has done a 32mm carb and got some opinions on it?
    Thanks

      My brother fitted a 38mm Keihn carb on the stock airbox on his 2001 DTR. You'll be fine, just need to warm the carb boot up and stretch it over.

          I run 32mm, seems to go well for my tastes...

            @OllieDTR

            I actually don’t think you need to ‘shave’ the rubber inlet at all. The 30 or 32 (can’t remember which) dellorto fitted to tzr’s just has a thinner wall where it fits into the rubber…
            Can’t speak for Mikuni though…

            You will have to do without it being angled to fit like the 28mm though. Shouldn’t be a problem though. I’ve had 30mm carbs fitted to Vespa’s that were mounted at horrific angles and still worked fine 🙂 We never used to bother with any air filter either, just a bell mouth on the Lambretta’s, maybe…
