    What year is it?

    I appreciate they're DTRE engines, which inheriently aren't restricted, but I don't know what CDI they run.

    Your best bet is to get a Zeeltronic ignition system for the DTRE and fit that.

    But as a guess, I'd say it's the powervalve. If you pin the powervalve open and disconnect the YPVS and see how it goes then, that'll eliminate that as a potential issue.

    Assuming the engine is all healthy etc.

    I wouldn't have thought they'd run the reed switch etc, and if anything probably run the DTRE CDI and therefore maybe there is a green/black wire that you can earth to make the CDI full power.

    But again, they're even faster with a Zeeltronic.

      Hi mate it's a 08 plate bike and I'm sure they run a reed switch that stops it going past certain speed, not a clue how to sort it though

        @mikey Oh cool, yeah they're different.

        Apparently you just need to swap out a fuse somewhere to address certain parts of the restrictions.

          I've done that fuse under the seat that just activates the power valve, still get the speed restriction though

                @mikey sounds like powervalve to me. Not setup right.

                      @mikey

                      I think it’s more likely that the CDI is restricting the revs in a kind of ‘limp mode’

                      Again. Read @Mr-Shadi post about the read switch.

                        You might have to earth out a wire on the CDI unit on your bike. There are some weird restrictions I don’t know about.
                        Like my TZR had a black/green stripe wire earthed out on it…
