Speedo drive no innards :(
-
Hi, yeah, its basically empty inside apart from some dried up old grease, thanks spookdog
-
OK, I might have what you need, I’ll have to do some digging!…
Only important thing is that the pin that holds the brass threaded bit in place can be removed to allow the threaded bit to be removed (to fit the worm gear)…
-
I'll check it tomorrow and post back. Many thanks spookdog

The pin was not there, i managed to pull the brass insert out in the vice, if the threads werent knackered enough already, they are now. Could still get a bite on them though possibly, somehow. Sorry for late reply, been busy with the car.

No worries, I’ve been busy as fux trying to build an engine while avoiding the rain. Plus being sick as a parrot. Such is life. I found the worm gear but not the sun wheel yet. It’ll go in and back together, whether you can screw a cable on is another thing…
-
Thanks spookdog
-
thats fine no rush at all, thanks.
-
Bud! I’m sorry, I’ve sidetracked myself again! I’ll dig the bits out now, ready to buy some stamps tomorrow. I only remembered cause I was checking fleabay and I saw one for sale for £45!…
I’ll enlist the help of my Siss! She’s my memory buffer!… -
-
If you think you can dremmel a line down the brass insert and remove the worm gear out undamaged, let me know and I’ll post it. It’s seized in there pretty hard tho…

@SpookDog Hi mate, its cool, many thanks for even trying to help, goes a long way and stuff like that makes for a great friendly forum. Theres no rush anyway for me to get hold of the parts, its a long term project anyway, plus my cbt expired in 2008, thats the last time i legally rode a 125! So nowhere near ready to ride yet lol. I'll keep a look out online for a complete item. Thanks and Merry Christmas.
