Hi there, I've finally got my bike back together after it took me forever to fit some new crank seals. Bike runs great, very happy, all those problems were, as it turns out, as a result of blown seals (I blamed so many parts and cleaned/ messed with the carb.
Anyway, although the bike is running lovely, it has more vibrations from the engine. I suspect it's because I put the clutch on wrong. A part that I have since found is balanced.

Can someone advise me how to line it up properly please?
    Thanks, rob.

No worries people, I have found out what I did wrong. I now know how to line up the basket, the clutch and the steels. Now just goto get it done.

OK, did the work today, clutch is now properly balanced but the bike engine is still causing bad vibrations. The other issue must be possibly the magneto but that went into a slot so can only go one way. Does anyone have any ideas?
FYI both crank seals were replaced so I would be amazed if the issue is not related to that activity.
        Thanks, rob.

Did you line up the balance shaft correctly? Both gears have indents which need to line up

No I did not. I just put the drive gear on the crank willy nilly. So one of the gears it connects with is the balance shaft then I bet. Mmmm

@Hoolies @beng1968 It does sound like the balance shaft gears aren't aligned, I didn't even know the pre-DTR engines had a balance shaft to be honest. This is where I went to find out, DT125LC MkIII is (I think) the closest I could think of, might be worth ordering items 24, 26 and 27 if you need to remove and refit the balance shaft gear:

Thanks for replying. Just to be very clear (because I'm going to have a go at it today and I had this clutch cover off too many times already) is it the balance shaft gear and the crank gear that need to be aligned?
They both have indents as you said eng1968, I will
look out for them. It must be the crankshaft gear and the balance shaft gear right?

Or are we saying the crank gear has nothing to do with it and the balancer shaft has 2 gears?

BTW hotshot, I agree, I order most my parts matching against DT125lc MKlll.
