@scrimsmustang A pipe can make a big difference, especially if the stock system is restricted. Good figures though. I had a mate who had a 1999 KMX and he couldn't keep up with my bog standard DTRE (green and black wire earthed), and I wouldn't call the RE a quick bike.

They are all far from superbikes aint they, an re with wire earthed and the stock pipe binned is as quick as an old dtr i would say though from the few ive had over the years.

This is how a 2 stroke should sound!

It's mine btw

@irongamer727 Sounds lovely, idling a tad low mine you.
What are the revs? 700
-
@irongamer727 Yeah, you'll want to up that slightly.
-
Really, it's not even funny how easy it is to start.

I wouldn't say alot, but it noticeably improved with leaner jetting. Like you say power really comes in about 8krpm. Mine easily pulls to 80mph, you have to take it to the redline in 5th before changing into 6th and be well tucked in for it to pull in 6th I've found.

What's the powervalve setting on these?
There open at idle up to 2000rpm, then closes and starts re-opening at about 7500rpm. There's a hi and low mark on the power valve pulley you line up, but I've found like with dt your best checking up the exhaust port, to check there fully open. Some cdi and power valve controllers are restricted though.
