@calum somewhere around there.

@calum somewhere around there.
@irongamer727 Yeah, you'll want to up that slightly.
-
@dtr-nsr hehe not changed yet. I have 137 and 140 at home. Somewhere there I guess. That's what Romeu recommended. What are you running?
-
I've found the jet upgrade kit dellorto sells, works well with the later barrel like yours will have. 138 main, 65 power and 42 idle jet.
@dtr-nsr Alright. She's running mint on idle, just fitted a 140 main. Let's see how she goes.
-
Really, it's not even funny how easy it is to start.
-
When I was running my nsr richer it was easy to start didn't even need choke. But since running it on leaner jetting it takes abit of tweaking but is loads livelier on the road.
@dtr-nsr does your have a lot of low end power? Mine doesn't, but at 8-12k rpm it moves!
Sixth gear is really not useful. Going 80km/h in sixth gear and twist the throttle nothing happens. Sounds familiar? -
I wouldn't say alot, but it noticeably improved with leaner jetting. Like you say power really comes in about 8krpm. Mine easily pulls to 80mph, you have to take it to the redline in 5th before changing into 6th and be well tucked in for it to pull in 6th I've found.

@dtr-nsr happy to hear. I didn't redline in 5th at around 120 km/h and when I changed gear I lost everything

What's the powervalve setting on these?
There open at idle up to 2000rpm, then closes and starts re-opening at about 7500rpm. There's a hi and low mark on the power valve pulley you line up, but I've found like with dt your best checking up the exhaust port, to check there fully open. Some cdi and power valve controllers are restricted though.

@dtr-nsr from what I could see through the exhaust port, the pv didn't seem to be able to be perfectly aligned with the port at all.

@calum yes of course.

@calum yes of course.
@irongamer727 Well not of course, Early Aprilia RS 125's and the tuned ones, run pneumatic valves.
KTM EXC's Yamaha YZ's and Kawasakis KIPS run off the gearbox.
So the valve could have been actuated by any of those.

@calum Thought you would know for sure. Anyway the pv on the Honda is shit compared to the DT. It's like two different worlds. There is really no low end power on the Honda

@irongamer727 I've never worked on Hondas.
