Ok, sorry to bombard the forum members but I'm close to a sense of humour failure with the head and tail light on my 2002 DT125R.
I have power to everything but the headlight, I've checked the continuity of the yellow wire with the red trace, and it's ok, I've checked the switch and it's fine, I've even tried a known good switch and still nothing.
I've replaced the regulator as that's where the power from the battery gets into the Yellow and Red wire, new ignition switch and isolated the generator but still nothing.
Any ideas?

So the wire you checked the continuity of, I assume is the power to the lamp? What about the neutral connection?

Yep, checked all wires, just can work it out, as there doesn't seem to be any voltage getting to the switch to power the headlight. Whilst it doesn't appear to be the bulb I've ordered a new one to be sure

Does your bike have a headlight relay?

No, not on this model, the only relays are the indicator and neutral light

Sussed it, dead short in the generator on the yellow and red to ground
