Rad caps aren’t universal?
-
So I put my rad cap from the dt on my 250 and it leaked out the rad over flow so I switched back to the other one and it’s fine I don’t know why it wasn’t on a warm engine it was cold but If you revved it would come out faster both caps seem identical only the dt one tells the temp any explanation to this?
-
I guess I'm not sure why you thought they would be?
-
@Calum well if it’s the same design same pressure then why wouldn’t it be
-
@declan It sounds like they are not the same design though.
-
@Calum they really are the dt stock cap is the exact same as the 250 only difference is there’s a sticker on the top from a shop called mad cat I think
-
@declan As already stated it's most likely the pressure rating OR It's not sealing properly for some reason???
-
@NINJA I don’t see why the seal wouldn’t work because it works on the dt but I guess it must be the the pressure
-
@declan Maybe the flange around the top of the filling hole is slightly different bud? Which would cause a non-airtight seal and therefore a loss in pressure and thus a creating a leak???
-
@NINJA not a clue but luckily it’s not a problem
