Aprilia RS125 2010 Spain's no.1
-
Sure, but if weight saving is the key then I'd go with no starter or kick starter. The idle gear isn't even on a bearing, it mates to the cases and incurs drag. You'd actually be better off binning the starter and bump starting it everywhere. Besides, the starter system is pretty light, if you go for a Lithium battery you will save yourself lots of weight
-
@Calum I was actually going to suggest the bump start method - pure TT race stylee. But for a road bike something a bit more refined is better. I like electric starters, much more cooler than a kick starter for-sure, which may explain why the latest MX and Enduro bikes now have them. But then as most SuMo's are converted from MX/Enduro bikes, electric starters are more common these days. The Li-ion batteries are uber cool, you only have to pick one up and compare it to an acid battery and you are sold, there featherweight in comparison. Plus they come with a built in LED charge tester, so you can easily see it's condition and it's recharges to 90% in six minutes with a compatible charger. The future is finally here for motorbikes!!! :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:  :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

@Calum i like the originals for 2010 model. But i think they are too big, thats why i bought these ones, smaller and βcarbonβ and will look good with tyga carbon parts i will add. For example, on my dtx i dont even use turn signals.
-
@pedrobatista10 I bought some "Red" ones for my DT, but you can tell the difference in quality between these cheap chinese ones I bought, and the carbon fibre that's on it. And I can't help feel the same for these. You'll have high quality carbon fibre parts and these may offset it.
But won't hurt to see what they're like. And it's your bike, keep us posted.

Yes, i know this is cheap material, but i dont want to spend cash on turn lights on a reputable brand. This enough for me. If they stop working i dont care. Only 11β¬ wasted.
Thank you so much for your feedback and help. Your bike is my inspiration οΈοΈ

@pedrobatista10 If you have issues with the indicators not working properly as there LED's, this thread has a ton of info on how to resolve problems;
-
@pedrobatista10 Yeah, just to be clear, I ain't knocking by no means. I'm just speaking from experience, I am a little disappointed I binned the OEM turn signals on my DT.
But I think turn signals are really important. And I happen to be slightly biased on the Spains No 1 as I sold my Spains No1 to get my DT!
And I ADORED my Spains No 1
-
spain's no 1 for me its the prettiest of all rs 125. i prefer with no.48 instead of mini with no.1.
but both are amazingif i get a rs 250 my project will be spains no.1 stickers too
-
@pedrobatista10 Your welcome bud, so is Spain's No1 a race team or model or something? Give us some background into that please.
