      Hi.
I recently did a new rebuild on my engine. Engine is a 2002 yamaha DT125R. I have come over a problem with the clutch not working. It will not engage when i pull the clutch handle, or when i push on the clutch arm. When i had the engine block apart i realized i did not have the little ball that goes between the clucth basket rod and the other push rod. I bought that hoping that it would solve the problem, but i didn't. Does anyone have any ideas of what could be wrong? How do i line up the clucth?alt textalt text

        Details on the link above.

Once you've aligned it appropriately, you just need to adjust the push rod to a "Close Enough" Approximation. Once you have done that. You then line it up "As good as" from the clutch arm. Then you make final adjustments at the clutch perch.

I find, after a clutch rebuild, or periods of storage, that the clutch sticks. So I then to push the bike before setting off to use it, then putting it in gear whilst rolling slowly with the clutch engaged, just incase it gets tuck, it won't snap out of your hands.

          Thanks mate!
I will try it, But is the 'dot' on the cluth basket supposed to face up? Or should it be aligned somewhere else?

Align the clutch as per the supplied diagram. And that's it.
