Hello folks, new dt-guy here
The pre-owner disconnected the oilpump, I want to re enable it.
My question is regarding the hoses, I want to install clear tubes, how do I disconnect them on the gold-colored parts, just pull? or on the silver ones? do I have to pull out or turn the silver "plugs" so they have a thread? I don't want to break anything

Yeah just pull the hose it should come off.
It's only lightly pressed in place.
The brass clamp should be slit down the middle so it has a little give in it.
Make sure you bleed the pump before solely relying on it!
I always slip the brass/gold clip up out of the way first, then pull the pipe off. It might need a little help levering off with a small flat screwdriver...
I would only bother replacing the small diameter pipe that goes between pump and inlet manifold with clear. It’s only that bit that gives peace of mind from being clear...
Bear in mind that people usually pre-mix because they have had problems (real or imagined) with the auto-lube. So expect the worst 🧐 ...
Thank you, also for the further food for thought.
the previous owner said he disconnected it to be on the safe side, no information about problems with it.
Isnt it better to drive with a pump in some situations? must now wait for new hoses to be delivered..
what about a flow reader fe. coupled with the cockpit oil lamp if no flow, if that makes sense?
I wouldn’t worry so much. If so keep the pre-mix. Otherwise put the clear tube on, see the flow and trust Yamaha
