@SpookDog
Anything on eBay cheap n cheerful, IMO. That goes for the speedo cable as well, As long as you oil them they should last as long as ye brake pads. -
Gutted! Finally found a set of forks complete with yokes and spindle on fleabay for a decent price £50 + 20 postage! And the bloke ‘won’t receive bids or offers’ from me! Meaning I can’t ‘buy it now’ even! 🤨
Only to me ... -
@markus-w
I messaged him before, he’s not sure why I’m on the banned list, but is gonna look into it. I don’t have any clue as to what I might of done to deserve ‘banishment’ ...PS 4430 miles with no head gasket problem
-
@SpookDog yes strange one bud. I've bought lots and lots of stuff off eBay but I've never sold anything so I guess I'd have no feedback? I'm not really sure how it works but I have seen ads saying basically people with no feedback don't bother.
-
@markus-w
I’ve never sold anything. Never thought about it before either. I had to go and look at my profile to find it. You press on your name banner at the top of ‘my eBay’ to find it...Mine was 205 not a few hunnies...
PS edit. I remember seeing those kinda things about feedback, but not for a real long time...

If It’s coming via parcel farce you’ll get a cracking delay when it gets to the UK as well, plus customs charges 🤬
-
Was sent Monday, arrived this morning (Friday) I am now the proud custodian of a Henrique Romeu full exhaust (with serviceable silencer/tailpipe) well happy ️
-
@SpookDog Photos please
Also regarding eBay, you still receive feedback every time you buy something (or at least, sellers are able to give you feedback). Not sure why matey won't allow you to buy his forks though, unless they're listed as collection only?
-
No I’m definitely on the banned list, he doesn’t seem to know why though. I’m still waiting to hear back. I might just have to use someone else to buy them for me. Pisses me off tho, I don’t consider myself a shitty person. A PITA maybe, but I’m not duplicitous 🤨 ...
I’m gutted cause I’ve been collecting parts together for a while. I’ve got the pipe now, progressive springs with genuine seals and top & bottom bushes, new tyres and tubes, spare swing arm (old one with grease nipples both sides!) to be powder coated and renovated with seals bushes and bearings. Bottom end casings to be powder coated along with side cases. Adjustable 200 rear shock...
I finally find a set of forks & yokes at a realistic price, so I can get the powder coating all done together and I’m a fuckin pariah!! 🤨
Oh well, keep on keeping on I ‘spose ️ -
@SpookDog send me photos of that shock, I’m curious as there was one up for sale a while ago that was rough as fuck listed as 200r shock but was actually of a Lanza meaning better suspension and more adjustment options. I think it sold for less then £40/30 quid too.
I nearly bought it but I was poor and didn’t realise it was a Lanza.
Also how you getting on with those kenda’s?
I’ve found the best way with building is to do what you’re doing now, make lists, organise and compile parts then decommission the bike for a bit then work your way front to back or back to front.
I’m also expecting a full review of that pipe! No one has really said about the characteristics of it, they always just say “yer mate it’s good”. My stock pipes looking a little worse for wear lately so I want to get one.
-
I don’t have it yet, the bloke I brought my Yz upside down forks and ally swing arm has it. I haven’t seen him for a while. He was putting n rd200 twin engine into a Dtr frame, but was gonna put both barrels into a 2 into 1 pipe he made, which I’ve since discovered isn’t a good idea ...
Getting unbanned from the fleabay vendor!
-
Actually still waiting on the swing arm as well
I’ve just discovered that the chain I’ve been using since January has a roller missing on one end of the chain! On inspection I noticed that there was a lot of wear on the rear sprocket in a short time, also that there was a —-/—-/—-/ slight judder in 1st gear where the chain was gripping the top of the sprocket. I’m gonna remove the offending link and readjust the tension. It makes a lot of difference to performance when the chain doesn’t run easy and smooth.
There’s always something! ... -
D@mn! Removing 1 link has left the chain too short for the min adjustment of the snails! I’m in the process of cannibalising a link off of my old o-ring chain, so I can maintain adjustability with the snails...
I would normally just replace the chain & sprockets, but I balk against doing it just as winter is kicking in with all the road salt damage I suffered from last year. It mullahed my O-ring-chain & exhaust last winter. We didn’t even have any snow or ice down my way! Waste of salt 🤪 ... -
@Calum if he leaves the chain on he will have small sprockets soon enough
-
WTF has happened to the sites format?!!...
