    Could anyone tell me the differences between the engines of the dtr and dtre apart from the electric start and do the different years of dtr have different engines cheers

      Very early DTR models, 88 I believe, ran a slightly bigger bore cylinder, coded 3BN.

      Many DTRs ran a restricted 3BN head.

      DTREs ran 3MB head & barrels.

      The RE engine ran a different crank, stator and fly wheel cover.

      Early DTRs had a different oil pump.

        Some 3bn engines have slightly different inlets, not where the manifold bolts on but inside. The internals have different dimensions that I can only guess is supposed to help flow to the ports...
