Hello everyone, hope you are all well, long time no post for me😞. First time out this year at the weekend for the red 88 dt and I have bought a gopro that I am getting used to. Posted a YouTube video I'd you want to see it its here, https://youtu.be/_4XBA2Gs0m4.
Sadly on the same ride just after video ends I dropped it on a green lane, no major damage, only my pride. Did dent the expansion chamber, broken brake lever and destroyed hand guard. Kicked myself for being stupid enough to use this bike on the green lane when I know how impossible it is to get panels in red. No more green lanes for this bike, have a Klx250, but don't know why I went stupid. Hope you enjoy the video if you watch it, sorry about the not so good image quality, still working out best settings for gopro.
I'll be posting a video in the next couple of weeks of the blue dt125(175) when I get out on it.
      Stay safe!

@oldman Such a shame but as the saying goes - We live and learn. I'm sure you'll fix her up in no time. 😉

          Engine sounds crisp!

I do want another GoPro, but ultimately I end up riding like a knob so best I don't.

Shame about dropping it, but ultimately the bike is meant to be ridden so don't feel too bad.

Glad you only dropped it on a green lane and wasn't written of by a car.

Brake lever ordered and had spare hand guard, dent on dep expansion chamber will have to stay (for now). My riding went to poop after I fell off (not that it was good anyway), so peed off I did it.
            Hey ho

Hello Calum, checked over after winter and did usual stuff, popped a new plug in and started second kick after being laid up all winter. Drained carb at the end of last year and used fuel stabilisers for the first time. I was lucky when I rebuilt it that I didn't have to mess too much with the carb after, just ran fine. Not sure if I have a dodgy gopro or my settings are out, still experimenting, but yes, does make you ride like a knob. I do anyway as sweet when it's on the pipe!

@oldman Yeah you have to love it.

I took my Aprilia out for the first time this year last weekend. Only up the road and back, but boy when it's on the pipe! Wow so exhilarating.

Like others, got my license and could have a bigger bike. Brother bought a ZX6R last year but we both agree it doesn't give you the same buzz.

I shouldn't worry about the dent in the DEP. It'll be cosmetic only.

Actually read an article where they intentionally dented two stroke pipes in certain places and in most cases actually found it improved the performance 😛
