          @SpookDog well I run a Zeeltronic these days with a big bore kit so have lost some over rev. But on the 125 with the original Cdi certainly 11k+

            @Calum

            Yeah, I’ve got a HW tzr lump and the specs I read said it made max HP at 11,000 RPM. That was a 4fu barrel though.
            I’m most interested in the early 1989 to 2000 dtr bikes with 3mb barrels though. Especially the pre reed switch models. Though I’m interested in all of them…

              @SpookDog It should rev off the clocks, the early ones weren't restricted like the later models so something doesn't sound right at all if it's not reving past 7500!

              My DTRE used to rev off the clocks once the Green Black wire was earthed! Was a cracking bike that!

                @Calum

                Yeah, I know. That’s why I want to hear from other owners. So I can get a solid comparison. I do remember another person saying that their early bike didn’t rev much above 8k. So I’m not sure if that is the early bikes/CDI’s ceiling? I need a clearer picture of RPMs ~ year models…
                So please don’t be shy dtr owners, there is no wrong answer! 🙂

                  @SpookDog Probably get a better response on the FaceAche forums.
