hello every one can any one please tell me is there any difference between DTR and DTX engine or is it just the frame ?

If you are referring to the same year of bike (post 2003), it's DTX and DTRE, both of which have identical engines and frames. The older models have very subtle differences with engine / frames.

thanks because i got an engine to day and when i got yamaha to run the engine numbers it come back as a 2005 dtx and wanted a dtr but if they are the same so so

The crankcases are the samr.
The crank, flywheel and stator differ. That's it.

Yes the X RE engine is the same. Firstly they are both road going engines. Secondly the only difference between them will be the sprockets used. I am not aware of any gearbox change, but have not examined them either.
