I failed to stop for a police car which resulted in them taking me off it, young and stupid at 17 it wasn't road legal and no insurance. I ended up with a snapped tibia I pushed out of my leg standing on it with adrenaline flowing I shattered the shoulder completely and broke the collar bone and was bleeding internally I almost lost my life to it. Since that I always wanted to rebuild 1

Same thing happened to me, except I wasn't the one riding it, it got stolen.

When I eventually got it back it was completely and utterly totalled. I am still paying for it now trying to fix all the things that have gone wrong on it.

So yay no transport for about 4 years. Love it.

@andrewj1680 That's the mark of a true rider haha! Putting the bike first, and yourself second. I remember being on the trails with 3 other friends, one of them in front of me was on very slick tyres. No knobs left on them anymore but he insisted on joining us. Of course the first patch of wet grass and off he went, I like an arse was trying to overtake him at the time. He fell off, I went over him and then parked my bike on his. I jumped off my bike and left it on his and rushed over to make sure he was okay, of course the next 2 days all he did was complain about me having "parked" on top of his bike haha

But anyway, that is a hell of a "dent".

Lol we normally heal don't We, was devastated at the site of the bike and looking back now I'd let it get in a right state even before the crash, strange how we react isn't it after all the bike can always be replaced

@andrewj1680 Can't always, won't be too long when there won't be any left. The numbers of these bikes have dropped significantly over the years...
