OK so it's not the power valve making the noise... Has anyone ever had a noise coming from the small end bearing? If so any videos of the noise?

I have pinned it open for now to see if this is the cause of the problem

Turns out to be access movement in the power valve bushes so need to replace these

Anyone ever had to replace the bushings both sides of the power valve. I have a vibrating noise on slowing down and turns out to be the power valve has too much play in it.

OK guys I've always had a buzzing /vibrating noise coming from the front of the engine / exhaust area when I come off the throttle or a low rpm. This only happens when ridding not on idle. I've checked for anything obvious as nothing loose. I've read somewhere that the power valve could be the issue any idea what I need to check for as it has just been machined to match the rebore by pmje

I'm planning to swap my re to supermoto soon but will I need to change the speedo drive to account for the smaller front wheel?

Back to full health after a rebore and top end rebuild. Added a temp gauge to avoid anyone overheating issues

Just wondering if anyone has ever fitted a wider tyre than spec? The wheels I have 100 front and a 130 rear I was thinking of fitted a 110 front and 140 rear on to them. Anyone ever any issues doing this

@Glynn123 was looking at other options like ktm duke wheels but got these for £100 plus I like the look of them. Was thinking of fitting the front with a 110 wide tyre and the rear with 140 but I'll see how it goes.

@Calum front is 100/70 rear is 130/17 so not too bad was thinking of aprilia rs125 wheels at first but got these for a good price.

So after looking long a hard for a dt125x I couldn't find a good one but ended up buying a 2004 re. So time to swap it all over to sm trim I've just bought a set of yzf125r mag wheels for it. Has anyone ever fitted these type wheels to a dt before? I'm hoping to get all the parts I've ordered here for end of next week to get started

Just after a top end rebuild and there is a terrible noise. Is this too much play in the piston?
