does a Y-1 barrel have better performance than a Y-2 Barrel does any one know please ?

does a Y-1 barrel have better performance than a Y-2 Barrel with a Y-1 head ?

it was £1000 on eBay and spent £700 on all parts inc exhaust and a new set of tyers

replacement plastics fitted and graphics all new oil lubricant's
power vale lined up ,oil pump set up was way too high .carb cleaned and up jetted to 230 from 210 new front and back sprockets ,swing arm resprayed on bike mot passed advisory on disks ,does 80 mph instantly
so quick .question is the the RE one of the quickest dt125s as it pees on my dtr 2002

after a deep clean and de coke of top end ,has std piston with no ware signs at all power valve de coked and new seals fitted new stainless exhaust threads new dep front pipe rear cleaned new battery compartment and new battery, new water pump kit and new drive and gear oil seals

bought it off eBay with 2 boxes of parts and a spare engine has been in a garage for 11 years as exhaust was coked up and it melted the battery compartment so it was partly dismantled

hi is there any difference in performance between dep front pipe and a big one which is a different shape ?

@Calum hi all i changed the front to a 15 now and its fine now does 68 in 5th and should rev out in 6th should do about 80 but haven't had a open road with out traffic, very strange to lower the std gearing would this been part of the restriction ?

just realized I have a English speedo but it measures distance in km does any one know how to correct this please .

r u saying i need to loose weight , am at 12 st 12lb so down hill it would be faster ?

16/57 gearing is this std ? should it rev over 9000 revs

hi thanks mine seams to be portages' but registered as new 2002 in the uk ,its a 3rml-010 and 4bl engine stamp, 3rm-30 cdi ,goes like a rocket to 70mph in 5th, but wont pull hard and or enter the power band in 6th gear and only revs to 9000 but not in 6th ,16/57 gearing refurbished carb std 140 main jet, read switch removed away from Speedo, snorkel removed from air box, read block rubber reshaped big one exhaust any ideas anyone .so near but so far some one musts know ?

new one having a few problems does 65-70 mph in 5th but when you go to 6th nothing happens also only restarts when hot on full throttle mods new front pipe .read switch removed from housing,6in away from Speedo, read block rubber reshaped carb ,restored std has main jet 240, model 3RML-010 Portuguese ? CDI 3RM-30 any suggestions
