@Calum Alright no worries, I'll give that a go. Thanks for the advice.

Swing arm movement -
Swing arm movement@Calum Aren't those the swing arm bearings though? They are the ones I've replaced. Or is it possible that the linkage uses the same bearing.
-
Swing arm movement@Calum Okay sounds good, any chance you know the bearing size or can direct me to where i can find them? Many thanks.

Swing arm movement@DTR-NSR I've changed the sleeve bearing that the swing arm bolt goes through if that's what you mean. But i think the movement is coming from the rear shock linkage. where it bolts onto the swing arm? Or is that what you meant.
I was going to replace the bearings/sleeve in that link however im struggling to find a kit.
-
Swing arm movement@SpookDog No i do not think it is the swingarm bolt. From what i can see its moving from the rear shock linkage. I'm not sure of the name. Wishbone? Dogbone? So i believe its the bearings or sleeves in that.
But both my Dt's have this issue otherwise i would have swapped the part for now.

Swing arm movementSo i have been building two DT 125r's for a while now. However they both seem to have up and down movement in the swing arm. I'm struggling to find a bearing kit that i'm certain would fit.
Any help or advice would be appreciated.
when on a stand the swing arm will move about 3-5 mm up and down. I'm sure this would fail an MOT so want to get it sorted ASAP so i can sell it.

Hard Starting, need help.@rollzy101 Yes I checked the compression, it has about 110 - 120 Psi. So it seems solid to me.

Hard Starting, need help.@calum Yes i've tried with the choke on. So ive turned the mixture screw down to half a turn and it now seems to start in about 3 kicks. I'm pretty sure its a mixtures issue, too much fuel or oil I would say. But the Carb settings seem to be right and match factory settings.

Hard Starting, need help.So i have this DT125r that i have rebuilt from the frame up. The bike seems to run fine. however before it never used to start without some easy start and once it had been started and warmed up a little bit it would then start up fine without easy start.
I've taken the carb off and cleaned it out many times and the guy i bought it from had just rebuilt it with new gaskets. I noticed the mixture screw was wrong so i replaced that and it now starts up without easy start but it takes about 10-15 kicks and is prone to bogging when full throttling from low RPM.
I've tried adjust the throttle needle, I've checked spark. The float height seems to be correct even though i do not have a very accurate way of measuring it. Anyone have any suggestions? Any help would be appreciated
Once it has been started once, it will then start first kick. Im just trying to get it so it starts easier the first time around.

DTR oil pump removal. So my DTRs two stroke oil pump has a leak, the screws that hold it in are destroyed. ive drilled the heads of the screws off. however, the pump still wont come out. Am i missing something or just not pulling hard enough? PS its a 2002.

New wheel needed. What wheel fits? DTRSo some of my spokes on my rim had rusted from the base and it was totally knackered. i was wondering if anyone knows any bikes that share the same rear wheel as a 2000 Dt125r. Yz? Wr? Wrx? If there's not any donor bikes i can use i will just have to keep an eye of for a dt wheel.

I have good spark, compression, fuel and air. But no start :( -
I have good spark, compression, fuel and air. But no start :(@calum i've looped that with a plug so it cant be that i dont think, unless theres break in the wires somewhere in the loom. but i find that unlikely.
-
I have good spark, compression, fuel and air. But no start :(@calum Could this be the neutral bulb? or does it have to be a switch to cause this issue?
-
I have good spark, compression, fuel and air. But no start :(@calum Oh yeah i defo would not recommend using brake cleaner, but I'm very desperate to hear it fire up just so i can carry on the build . Okay i will check the neutral bulb when i get home, hopefully it is as easy as that.
This bike has been rebuilt by every nut and bolt. i cannot wait to finally give it a ride. My other full power dt 125 r gets 94mph which i thought was astonishing.
Fingers crossed this works.

I have good spark, compression, fuel and air. But no start :(@spookdog The only other thing i can think of is the CDI, this model has a 3RM-30 CDI and i cant really find any information about it. I also have a spare 3RM-20 CDI with all the wires cut. if i could re-wire this CDI. Could that work? or at least cancel out the CDI being a fault? ive never had a bike have compression, spark and a clean carb not run before.
-
I have good spark, compression, fuel and air. But no start :(@spookdog Yeah brake cleaner 100% works, I've done it many times. so I've taken the carb of twice and cleaned it. The previous owner rebuilt the carb. I wasn't sure if he built it correctly so i have another dt 125r. i swapped the carb over and still nothing. the spark plug has fuel on it.
The neutral light does not come on, could this somehow be breaking a circuit? -
I have good spark, compression, fuel and air. But no start :(so i bought a dt 125 r, i have had the frame powder coated and built it from the frame up. The bike was not running when i first got the bike, however i never tried to start it. Long story short i have a good spark, 110 psi compression, and even if i spray brake cleaner in the carb it will maybe fire once if im lucky. The CDI is a 3RM-30 which from my knowledge is rare and hard to find a replacement or any information on. Could someone please give me advise. i have looped the circuit for the kickstand switch so there should be no reason for the bike not to start as far as i can tell.

Anyone know dt 125 r brake hose lengths?Anyone know dt 125 r brake hose lengths?
