Brand new.....Just looking on YouTube and saw an advert for a brand new DT 125/175 air-cooled bike complete with drum brakes. Why can't we get them? I think there for the south American country's

Pictures@spookdog sounds like my old lady....she keeps saying she's strawberry blonde but I took a photo of her to work and they all voted "rip roaring ginger "!....lol.

Funbags or Airbags?@calum just looked and yes they did do it....Honda Goldwing along with the kitchen sink, but a bike I've wanted
-
Funbags or Airbags?@calum you've got me thinking

Sort of a newbie!@calum I will agree with you about the sweet spot....RD 125, 250 ,350 ,500 not counting the 50 or air cooled modles as well as rgv 250, 500 plus the Dt modles......CR's....KX's the list goes on..its just the sound and smell of a two stroke preferably with a non standard pipe/s . As for electric bikes I'm coming round to these as I like some of the e-mountain bikes but at around 3 grand for a good one I can get a well sorted DTR for that. Plus I've had motorbikes since I was 18 and have never considered myself a biker but just love riding and tinkering with them. But due to my wife being ill and work have had a four year break and I'm now looking forward to getting back into them and getting a DTR is now the goal.

Pictures@spookdog will have a go at this as I'm using my phone as my laptop has died and my wife would cut bits of me for using her works laptop lol.
-
Funbags or Airbags?@ninja old post I know but I went on the protest in London when some government idiot was trying to get airbags fitted to motorbikes
-
Pictures@spookdog thanks I read this earlier and will probably have nightmares for a few weeks. But when I get time I'll keep having a go

Sort of a newbie!@calum 7 years eek! The thing is you have to be committed to the cause! ,and most people can't wait to get a bigger bike than a 125. I went suzuki gp 100 , Kawasaki Ar 125 , Kawasaki gpz 500s and then dropped to the kmx 200 which is a bike I absolutely loved and have had 2 and wish I had never sold (except for the second one lost that when divorced )would have loved to have tried a DT 200 or a DT 230 lanzer? Have been hankering for a DTR for a few years now and if I can't manage it this year then hopefully when can draw some of my pension ( God wasn't I 18 not long ago) next year I will get one then!
-
Pictures@calum cheers, but still can't manage to do it I'll keep trying, all this drag and paste is an alien language to me
-
PicturesHow do you post pictures on here nowadays as it's changed since I was last on here...any help appreciated!

Sort of a newbie!@calum just nice to see this forum is still going strong....if I remember wasn't there something with the original founder and ownership?...anyway come Easter and the garage will be cleaned out and my gsxf will be unearthed and at some point I want to do a swap for a DTR ..

Sort of a newbie!Haven't posted for a few years! I had thought that the site was winding down, so nice to see it's still going strong!

sound check ?when you turned the key on my RD's the ypvs would happily whizz away but on the KMX's there was no sound. As the DT's I have had had no working ypvs on them just the peg open or shut, so just wondered if they were the same as the twins.!
-
sound check ?having had 2 x KMX 200's the kips system didn't make the same noise as the RD 350 ypvs ,So does the ypvs system on a DT make one if fitted ?

kmx or DTwas reading some of the older topics and there was a bit of handbag warfare going on over which was better the kmx or DT ,so I thought I would throw my penny's worth in. I have had 3 DTs 4 if you count the DT 50 . the first was a dt 125 mx which was as fast as my mates stock dt 125 lc , after passing my test I had a gpz 500 which I part x'd against a new kmx 200 which flew. pass on a few years I've had two stock dtr.s and another kmx 200 I know its another 75cc but it makes a difference would have loved to have gone against a DT 200 . the reason I want a DT is because there are a lot about and you can go mad with them . the kmx 200's are starting to go for silly money and you don't see to many DT 200.s about
