My powervalve would go through the cleaning process but not move once the bike was started. Got another cdi unit and it then worked great so I would go for a cdi unit. When I started mine it went to the close position and stayed there no matter how much I revved it.

Power valve issue@calum that's good. Glad someone does
-
Power valve issue@calum thanks. Yeah sad really. Won't be many around after another 10 years.
-
Power valve issueProblem solved. It was the cdi unit. Changed that and it runs like a dream. Thought I'd let everyone know as sometimes people get it fixed and you never hear the outcome
-
Power valve issueI guess it's ok as it ran great with the power valve working spot on for a few weeks. Just got a cdi off eBay and a servo so will try the cdi first and see if it fixes it.
-
Power valve issue@mitch_350z I see. Where is the resister?
-
Power valve issue@mitch_350z the one below. Br9eix.

Power valve issue@mitch_350z iridium spark plug
-
Power valve issue@jens-eskildsen ok thanks mate. Very helpfull
Will try another servo then and see what happens. -
Power valve issue@calum yeah I guess they are.apart from that it runs lovely. Will change the servo. If that doesn't do it just the cdi left I guess.
-
Power valve issueTook the exhaust off. A bit dirty in there but rotates easy enough. Goes through the cleaning process nice and easy so all I can do now is change the servo and hope it sorts it.
-
Power valve issue@calum ok thanks for the help. With give it a go.
-
Power valve issue@calum do you have a link for how to remove power valve at all?
-
Power valve issue@calum it could possibly be gunked up but would it not move when you turn the ignition on?
-
Power valve issueForced the valve open while engine running and goes like stink top end. Have noticed since I done that and tuned the ignition off and on and start engine it starts to move as it should for a few revs then stops moving again. I'm taking a guess it's the solenoid?
-
Power valve issue@declan cogs are fine as just changed the chain so checked them both.
-
Power valve issue@declan I did go over the connections the weekend. Some were a bit crappy so wire brushed them unless the connections are a bit dry. Didn't have any maintenance spray but will give them another clean now I have some. Would the servo make it go like that do you think?

Power valve issueHi peeps. I have A 2006 dt x sm. The issue is the power valve does it's cycle when ignition is put on but when I start the engine
it goes to the right slightly as it should I think but from there on it doesn't move at all even when revving it high. Any ideas? Havnt had the bike long. Did work well for a few weeks then occasionally but now doesn't work at all in high revs. -
Power valveAny news on this thread? Did the new servo sort it as mine does the same thing.
