These guys don't mess around, I don't favorite videos on YouTube unless they really are worth favoriting. Over the last 10+ years I have only favorited a handful of videos, and they were one of the first people I added to that list with the YZF R1 with the RD500 RPVS engine transplant. Amazing.

Brilliant guys, they're up there on my list with BARacing, who I have contacted in the past, they have some kits they can sell for the DT engine to make big power, if you have a look on their Facebook there's a DT 125r doing a power wheelie in about 6th gear 😅
If I remember right they recommended me a crank and rod kit...

The dt engine is only quick as running on methanol with a high nitromethane content
they just never seem to mention that part.

I mean just the fact that it could keep up with the Ktm is amazing.

why would you need a bigger tube for methanol doesn't it have a lower ratio

Methanol actually has a lower energy value than petrol, however if you think of an engine as an air pump the prefered air petrol ratio is 12 parts air to one part petrol the prefered Air Fuel ratio for methanol is 3 parts air to one part fuel, hence the need for huge fuel flow, your fuel lines carb jets etc will have to flow 4 times the amount of fuel..So you need huuuuuge jets or a huge carb like the 40mm on this engine.
