Hi guys, I did a transmission oil change last week. Within one week the oil has turned black. When I open the oil filler cap it gives off a strong petrol smell as well. Why is this? I rode the bike for a total about 150-200km during this time (small road trip). I used the recommended 10W-40 Caltex synthetic oil (I'm from Sri Lanka btw).

Hi, do you mean crank oil seals? Could it be that piston rings needs replacement?

@vishanj no it’s not the rings it’s definitely the crank oil seals as you call them

@vishanj it's not a 4 stroke mate. It's the seals that needs replacing. Not anything metallic, hopefully.
