      WOOP WOOP!!! I have found a German supplier who sells just the clutch activation arm/pin separately. So for a bargain 12 euros I can get a longer pin and hopefully I'll just have cut it to length and then swap it out for the current pin, which is too short. So I'm well happy with that solution!!! :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

      Furthermore;

      Rolling, Rolling, Rolling!!!
      No rest for Santa's elves - the rebuild continue's. Ignore the wheels as they are just a temporary set in-order to get a rolling chassis. Still a lot more work to do, but she's coming together rather nicely now!!!

      Fully resprayed engine and new gear shift lever off a kawasaki ZZR.

      IMG_2798.JPG

      New Brembo front brake/master cylinder, plus the Magura Hydro clutch.

      IMG_2805.JPG

      IMG_2807.JPG

      I stripped down the old tatty kickstand, resprayed it silver and then lacquered it, so that it blends in with that uber shiny swing arm.

      New Protaper Contour bars and new bar risers look mint, plus they add a touch of character to the triple clamps.

              A small update;

              I fell off my mountain bike just before Christmas and have cracked a couple of ribs, so progress has been painfully slow. I managed to clean up the front mudguard and fit it. This is not the stock mudguard as I preferred this one and wanted the front end to look a bit different as well. It came all the way from Poland as there super rare and extremely hard to get hold of. The mounting holes did not match, so I had to drill some new ones. Some of you may recognise it???

              IMG_2858.JPG

              She cleaned up real nice too, after a couple of hours rubbing out the scratches and buffing her back up.

              IMG_2865.JPG

              I fitted the new ignition switch/barrel and front brake caliper too.

              IMG_2868.JPG

              IMG_2873.JPG

              I also recently got this bad boy too and will start wiring her up in the next few days.

                A few more parts arrived today;

                IMG_2885.JPG

                The Italkit carbon reeds and block kit looks very cool and was half the price of the V-Force3 reed kit, so it was a no-brainer really. Sadly the manifold it comes with is straight for the RS, where it needs to be an angled one for the MX. This is in-order to miss the rear shock, so I have had to order that separately and I'm waiting for it to arrive. Apico gear lever tip adds a nice touch to the new lever and neatens it up nicely too. :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

                IMG_2896.JPG

                And I test fitted the new R-Tech headlight as I was dying to see how it would look with the new shape DTX front mudguard;

                  I was going to ask why you didn't go for the V-Force system. They are factory fitted to the majority of race machines and are the go-to for intake solutions.

                  I wonder how much real world performance there would be in it. But you'd imagine if it's used as factory racing teams then it must have something.

                  I do like the shiny new parts though. Exciting times! Great engine to modify.

                    @Calum I've seen owners report that the Italkit reed block works really well with their 140cc kit, so as that kit is on my wish list, I thought it would be a good match. I do like Italkit stuff I think that they make quality parts that do upgrade on the OEM parts and the price was the other reason I went for it. I do like V-Force stuff but they seem overpriced to me, but as with everything quality does not come cheap, so maybe there's something in it???

                      @NINJA I would love to say, yes V-Force FTW it will make 100 more horsepower...but I just can't see it.

                      I bought it cause it was a brand, and I always wanted one. They are factory fitted to the YZ's, KTM's and a lot of other Race bikes. But I simply cannot see how it can really make that much difference.

                      Maybe better over stock, but over another aftermarket one designed for performance. I can't see it. I think the one I got was for the 140 kit too.

                        @Calum I did google to see if there was a head_2_head test, but sadly I couldn't find one. Race teams are all about the fractions between this and that, but most reports state better throttle response over increased HP. There's not a lot of evidence on which kit is better, but there are quite a few reports of the V-Force reeds wearing out quite quickly and at Β£50 for a replacement set, I thought that the Italkit would be a more shrewd purchase. Their replacement carbon reeds are Β£20 cheaper. If there's a 1 or 2 HP gain from fitting these reeds then I would not only be surprised but happy as well. I'm not after every minute gain I can get, I just want a quick bike that's not only fun to ride, but will also be competitive with any others that I meet out on my travels!!!

                            @declan Italkit specialises in parts for smallbore 2stroke engines, mostly Italian brands like Aprilia, Cagiva and Gilera. Although they are a Spanish company, most of their parts are made at the Gilardoni foundry in Italy. I don't think that they make any parts for Yammy's, but they do make parts for Husky's and KTM's, as they sponsor their MX teams. :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

                                      A couple more parts upgraded, I modified the original speedo bracket to fit the new Koso digital display;

                                      And carbon wrapped the bracket for that custom look and then I mounted that bad boy;

                                      Next is to sort the wiring out and then she'll be good_to_go.

                                      I've also sanded out all of the casting flaws and polished up the stock brake pedal, for that bit of extra bling;

                                      And finally I fitted the Storm Hand guards I had on my DTR. As the new Protaper bars are fat bars I had to buy some larger brackets, as the old one's were too small to go around the Contour bars. Another bargain from China courtesy of good ole ebay;

                                        Polishing has come up really well!

                                        How far do you think you're off completion?

                                          @Calum The polishing is tedious and does take a lot of time, but looks amazing when it's done. I'm some way yet off finishing her, money will slow me down as I have a few expensive bit's to buy like a new exhaust front pipe, ali rads, graphics kit and the wheels need refurbing too. There probably the most expensive parts I still require, plus some silly bits n' bobs on top of those. Oh and a new rear mudguard which are like gold-dust in black, the only one I've found thus far is in Finland and the dude wants 105 euros for it, which may be a bullet I have to bite unless I can find another one?

                                          So hopefully I am probably looking at April time before she is finished, just in time for spring and summer blasting!!!
