Kill switch doesn't work

Kill switch is just two wires. Follow them back to the loom. It sounds like a wire is broken inside the insulation. The kill switch basicly earths the coil. Iβd use the original switch gear... @spookdog Next weekend I'll check what you say. Ty!

 itβs a black wire with yellow stripe (I think) that shares a connector with the ignition barrel, And a plain black earth wire...It is on my 1988 Dtr anyway

No solution works so my DTX is now resting in a workshop. Will refresh after they tell me what is going on.

Does the key ignition turn off the engine?... @spookdog Yes it does. The problem was the wires that connect into the clutch in the handlebar. I don't know why, and what are those wires, but it cause a problem with the kill switch. I removed them and all its good. Problem solved

Problem solved @jaimegonzalezlu the wire for the kill switch is black with white stripe it runs in a y shape goes from cdi to ignition barrel then kill switch hope this helps

I removed them and all its good. Problem solved The clutch sensor is part of a kill circuit iirc. I thought only electric start bikes had them though... P.S thanks for letting people know itβs fixed, as well as how. It helps people searching for something similar, problem wise
