Kill switch doesn't work

Kill switch is just two wires. Follow them back to the loom. It sounds like a wire is broken inside the insulation.
The kill switch basicly earths the coil. I’d use the original switch gear...

it’s a black wire with yellow stripe (I think) that shares a connector with the ignition barrel, And a plain black earth wire...It is on my 1988 Dtr anyway

wrote on 2 Jan 2022, 18:30 last edited by@spookdog Yes it does. The problem was the wires that connect into the clutch in the handlebar. I don't know why, and what are those wires, but it cause a problem with the kill switch. I removed them and all its good. Problem solved

It's a DTX (2005) so yeah, it has electric starter.
