Kill switch doesn't work
-
@spookdog Next weekend I'll check what you say. Ty!
-
@jaimegonzalezlu
itβs a black wire with yellow stripe (I think) that shares a connector with the ignition barrel, And a plain black earth wire...It is on my 1988 Dtr anyway
-
@spookdog I don't have that... no black-yellow wire... check the photo that I upload. Anyway I will check everything! Ty
-
@jaimegonzalezlu
Itβll be black with white stripe then... -
No solution works so my DTX is now resting in a workshop. Will refresh after they tell me what is going on.
-
Does the key ignition turn off the engine?...
-
@spookdog Yes it does. The problem was the wires that connect into the clutch in the handlebar. I don't know why, and what are those wires, but it cause a problem with the kill switch. I removed them and all its good. Problem solved
-
@jaimegonzalezlu the wire for the kill switch is black with white stripe it runs in a y shape goes from cdi to ignition barrel then kill switch hope this helps

The clutch sensor is part of a kill circuit iirc. I thought only electric start bikes had them though...
P.S thanks for letting people know itβs fixed, as well as how. It helps people searching for something similar, problem wise
