Sump plug washer

Can the oil drain bolt / sump plug washer be reused
If not then what size is the washer I don't want to remove the old until I have a replacement will probably have one at work if some one can tell me the diameter of the an size of the washer

It's a copper washer and usually they cannot, however I always did.

I got away with one reuse. Ended up buying a selection set off Amazon, as all 3 of my bikes have multiple sealing washers in different sizes so cheaper in the long run.

If you don't have 2p for a new washer or the shops shut you can anneal copper to make it soft again to use as if new. Google the process if interested or skint

@nottsbiker Pretty sure I just didn't know it was supposed to be reused.

Explains why my car is leaking gearbox oil FFS!

I'd fit a new one but its handy to do on the old gas cooker if you are working on the bike at night or on a Sunday etc
