-
@cartermarc1 sure your cables aren’t too tight?
-
)I was wondering if I had the cables the Wright way round I’ve read that some are crossed over
-
@cartermarc1 I would disconnect the cables and just make sure the valve does a sweep properly when you switch the ignition on and off.
-
@cartermarc1 It doesn't do a cleaning cycle then? Only going one way and not returning.
Sounds like the servo ECU is burnt out.
-
No mate its not only turning one way have a look for a new servo how do I open it fully while I find one thanks for the help
-
@cartermarc1 I don't suspect it's the servo.
When I had this issue, it was the CDI that was faulty (since the servo's operation is controlled by the CDI). But depending on your model it might be a separate ECU.
For a 2002, I believe it's the CDI.
I would just leave it disconnected, and pin the valve open for now.
-
How do I pin the valve thanks
-
@cartermarc1 Set it to open and lock off the nut to stop it rotating.
-
@cartermarc1 The valve will be flush with the exhaust port, since the valves job is to altr the exhaust port height to enable better low end performance by restricting lost fuel and air theough the open port.
