I have a tiny coolant leak after replacing my clutch. I can’t seem to find where it’s coming from. It seems to run down the side stand and under the left hand side of the frame any ideas would be grand. Doesn’t seem to be coming from the gasket or water pump housing.

Sounds like where my overflow hose goes to from the expansion bottle, is expansion bottle full? If not are hoses running to it loose?

@glynn123 I'll have a check of the hoses. i've been topping it up so that it doesn't run low on coolant.

@sgt-robuck-5 likely just spitting it out since its overfilled, fill the radiator up but have the expansion bottle with just a bit in the bottom, one it's hot the level will rise and should sit between the markings

As you can see it's all over the kickstand but it isn't wet on the upper levels of the frame...
I also removed the expansion tank side panel and it didn't seem to have any signs of water or dampness

@sgt-robuck-5 mine used to leak under the seat and that would easily run down the frame to the kickstand

Found out for sure that it was the coolant overflow. Used a cooling system pressure tester and the overflow pipe on the expansion tank sends it through the frame and out the bottom towards the kickstand and further underneath the frame. Didn’t realise the coolant was dumped through the frame.

@irongamer727 wouldn’t all the trapped air go out The expansion tank when the engine has been left running and then it would suck the coolant from the expansion tank in?

Mine seems to overflow out the left of the frame along side carb, as when the headgasket went a couple weeks ago it sprayed hot coolant all down my leg 😂

@sgt-robuck-5 doesn't work like that. Air pushes coolant up in the expansion tank filling it and then spits out on the road. Then returns to normal once cool. Just open the radiator cap and bleed it, problem solved.
