    Hi All -

I'm looking to purchase some new rubber for my DT, I was just wondering which size tyres you can squeeze onto the stock rims?

Mine has some old Conti Escape's currently (2.75 x 21 & 4.1 x 18) and I was looking at the Avon Trailrider's. Doing some comparison's on the web it looks like 80/90-21's & 110/80-18's are around the same size. However, I was wondering if the 90/90-21's & 120/80-18's would fit on the stock rims? Has anyone fitted these and do the wider tyres make a difference with improved handling?

    cheers

120 fits perfectly on the rear, some people have 140, I do but on a 2.15 rear rim

I am not running stock wheels. And the rear caliper carrier was machined down, but I think I'm running 160.

COOL thanks for the replies guys, I think I'll be ordering the wider tyres then. LOL

I'll get some wider rims when I have the cash, there's some decent ones on ebay ATM. I have other priorities just now, so there on the wish list for-sure!!! ;O)
