Two stroke oil tubing from oil pump to carb
-
Hi, was going to use some clear tubing for the oil pump to carb piece of pipe/tubing on the Dt200wr, going to order some wind screen wash tubing from ebay. used this before on lc's and Dt's and it worked fine, well apart from once when my 200 partially seized when I was seeing if it would do a ton and I wondered if maybe it wasn't getting enough 2 stroke delivery but who knows, anyway does anyone know what the actual mm of tubing is that should be used or if its a tight enough fit should that be ok, 3,4 and 5 mm are listed, many thanks

not sure about the dt 200 but ive just ordered 3mm id clear tube for my dt 125r

Get the reinforced stuff, I had it implode and go soft

@ringdingding Don't skimp dude, it will only cost you in the long run, get the reinforced tubing and be done with it.

@NINJA also recommend an in-line oil filter before the pump.
I've just put a new oil pump on my Dt200wr as the original was so blocked up.
Even the new one (second hand) I bought was full of sludge.
Fully stripped it and cleaned it out, gets very bad on the pumps outlet (the little ball bearing and spring) also worth changing the internal oil seal. (£2) .
Most the sludge collects in the little channels, you can pop out the black blanking seal to access it (the one the size of a 1p ) (the early type pump) -
@Louis-James I think you meant that for @ringdingding ???

@NINJA I just clicked reply haha.

@Louis-James Quality - it happens to us all!!!
@ringdingding You can add an in-line fuel filter for as little as £1. It would be worth adding one of these as they are transparent and then you can see what's being pumped in and if it's good or bad???

@Louis-James MMMMMMMMMMMM SHINNNYYYY!!!

Thanks for all the replies.

@Louis-James went to change tubing today, the pump in my opinion dose not seem to be moving enough, but it is moving. I held the oil pump fully open to get the 2 stroke through quickly as possible and seemed to be taking an age to what I remembered in the past. took a vid of this and the pump operating, if you would be kind enough to view this and give me your opinion. On You Tube, under Yamaha DT200WR oil pump and Yamaha DT200WR 2 Stroke feed. many thanks.

@ringdingding So not only will the oil be injected through the pump, but also the vacuum created under the engine. So it will draw more oil through under load etc.
