So I’ve tried everything I’ve checked every wire that I have messed with tried 3 different spark plugs and still nothing, the only thing I can think that has happen is I’ve un done the wires that delete the side stand switch or something similar I have a bunch of spare wires some of which were joined together I’ve been trying them together with no luck

I’ve been thinking, even if my kick stand circuit was bad I should still be getting spark in neutral right? Would the bike still spark if the whole ignition barrel was in plugged

@declan the bike stops getting a spark after you put it into gear if your kickstand circuit is disconnected. it should work on neutral though. i really suggest checking the wiring and taking a look at the stator or measuring the amount of volts with a multimeter while starting

@claws it all worked before I took the engine out, weird thing is I’ve checked all the wiring I have tampered with it has a brand new ignition barrel and I’m suspecting it’s faulty although the pv does cycle when key is turned

@declan It's most likely either something is not connected properly, an earth is missing, or a blown fuse? Have you checked all those dude???

@declan Did you take any photo's of the bike pre/mid disassemble? If yes then refer back to them and look for any differences between the old & new installations.

@NINJA the wires are colour coded and I marked every wire that was important to the starting and running of the engine

@declan so to rule out a few things, will the dt start without the ignition barrel, will the neutral circuit cause problems if the wire is not looped, would the clutch circuits also cause problems if it’s not looped

I found these wires wrapped up two of them are joined together I can’t remember if there were other joined like this, they come from the same loom as the battery wires

Okay, looks like the problem is the ignition coil when I remove the wire and kick the bike it shocks me yet when I connect it back up the plug still doesn’t spark I already have one on order so I’ll update when I’ve fitted it...(edit- by remove the wire I mean the direct feed from the cdi to the ignition

@declan Are there any breaks in the wire, which could be causing a short circuit???

@declan It sounds like you have a short somewhere else? Re-check all the wires as something is a miss.
