Romeu, Romeu, where art thou Romeu

@stevie-wonder Yeah I run his pipe on my DT.
I've had stuff delivered from Europe recent with no issues.
This week alone I've had a cylinder arrive from Germany, connecting rod bearings for my Starlet from Bulgaria and I've got OEM parts for my Cagiva from the netherlands.
I haven't yet had to pay import excess duty or the like.

@calum looks smart, the long high up stinger reminds of the 4DL, perfect little nod for the 4DL engine you’ve got.
Maybe there’s some sort of charges or something like that he’s having to face? Like I’ve noticed unit 5 and Frankie’s imports have pretty much shut up shop because they can’t operate like they used too
I’m in the same boat as you, I’ve ordered from about 5-6 different countries recently and not had a single issue with shipping or things arriving late and the only place I’ve paid an import charge for was buying some V force reeds from America
-
I have a 3XP front mudguard and coolant tank en-route from Poland at present
Has made it from the sender via Warsaw to "dispatched to UK" in 6-7 days so far.
I'm guessing that its already in the UK and the lack of news means I'm due to get stung for import duties as this happened to me when I picked up some small RoadRacing bits for my 900 Monster from the USA

@nottsbiker did you order through eBay? Doesn’t eBay predict import tax/charge costs?
I was pondering the thought that whilst selling on eBay makes you a trader/seller it doesn’t exactly make you licensed or like a legit small business. You pay tax but it’s very independent cash in hand type of thing.
Maybe some of these guys are experiencing something along those lines? (Not a subject I know much about I’ll add) -
I don't really know what the deal is, why he's having problems.
I paid £130 for that pipe which to be honest is too cheap for what it is. I was one of the first guys in the UK to buy it mind you so it was a semi-prototype pipe. 10+ years later it still looks good as new. Currently hung up in my garage without a mark on it.
My TYGA Pipe for my RS cost £450, whilst his Pipes aren't as good as the TYGA pipes, £130 is cheap for what you're getting.

No it was a private purchase from a member on here not through ebay
-
@stevie-wonder I’ve had his MX style pipe on my RE for years, and I think even that I bought used, it’s awesome and took some abuse/dents over the years. That’s a sad ending to it all but can’t blame him, it’s bad enough trying to post items that big across the UK alone.
-
I think eventually, he might see sense and try to continue to deliver his products to the UK. There has always been a need for them, I think that transportation and COVID definitely isn't helping his business!
-
@nottsbiker I wouldnt worry at this point. Last package I sent to UK using primary post office took 12 days to be delivered. There was 10 days with no update in tracking and then new information popped up that the item was already in UK and was delivered on the next day. Thats just how this post office works. If it was held on customs you would probably see an update about that. Again no worries at this point.
-
No problem, but you know how it is when you are waiting on motorcycle parts like a small kid
-
@nottsbiker Yeah I know exactly how it feels like, waiting for some awesome packages at the moment myself, and latest snow storms are probably gonna impact the delivery time here
-
Crazy, I send and receive parts from Europe every other day. Best way is don't charge or pay VAT on items same as the rest of the world and you may have to pay customs charges at the local countries rate.
TNT are the best courier service I'm getting right now. -
No VAT was charged - all arrived ok
