@CYBER-NINJA PC problems as well? Custom build?
Yep fully water cooled beast, finally tracked the prob down to my RAM, for some strange reason I have 2 identical 16GB kits of Ripjaws 4, which now do not wanna play together. They work fine on their own but put em together and they crash my PC on boot!!!

@CYBER-NINJA Did you build the coolant system yourself like me?
AlsobHow bizarre.
But does your motherboard support 32Gb ram?
Also is it single, dual or quad channel. What's the maximum throughput through eaxh channels. Have you tried lookingo for a BIOS update?

@Calum Here's the build thread;
http://forums.bit-tech.net/showthread.php?t=274115
Asus Rampage V Extreme supports upto 64GB of RAM, so it should be all OK. All Bios and drivers are up-to-date. I had a prob with something shorting out, I suspected it was the Ripjaws 4 (quad channel, 2133MHz - 3000MHz Frequency) RAM gone bad, but the fault killed the mobo and fried two 5930K chips. Luckily they are still under warranty so I RMA'd em both and eventually got brand new replacements. The only hardware which is not new is the RAM and my 2 Titan X's.
The RAM is playing up as previously stated, I had them overclocked running 2668Mhz @1.5V, so that may have been their downfall? And now after I had a water leak, my 2 Titan X's got wet and are now dead. So the frustration continue's sadly.....................

@CYBER-NINJA So you've paid someone to build you a computer and it sounds like they have fcked up! That's not on surely!
Build looks grand though. My only gripe with it, is that clearly someone has put a lot of effort into building that rig, then to use flexi acrylic pipes just let it down. I would love to see proper hard lines being plumbed into that as it would really finish off that high caliber build.
Who's got steam accounts?

@Calum I paid no-one to build it dude, that's all my own handywork - lots of hours, blood, sweat and tears have gone into that rig. Plus I've had to save up for parts, so it's taken me 2 years to get it to where it is today.The only work which I've paid for is the CNC cutting of the window in the side panel and having the front panel cut out to my design. Other than that It's all been built at home, as a scratch build starting with the case. I had an air cooled rig as my main PC whilst I worked on this rig. Which I used to test out some parts and then switched them into this build. as that way I could learn how things worked together or not???
I'm no PC expert and do not have any IT training or tech knowhow, I've learnt the hard way by doing some research, then trial and error, so yes mistakes do get made from time to time. I decided to use flexi pipes as I was unsure if the twin resevoirs would work and what the flow rate would be like? Once I was happy with the water flow and cooling, I could then switch to hard pipes in the future. This rig is still a labour of love and very much a work in progress project, which will get upgraded as new components get released!!!

@Calum 970 is at the bottom in the top 5 performing GPUs for VR. R9 Fury wins it, 1080 second, 390X third, 390 fourth and the 970 is fifth. So in one sense you're at the bottom GPU wise, but you can still run VR, so I wouldn't get too bogged down on it. HTC Vive 2 was announced as well so if you want wait until that to get a first generation vive for cheaper.
Also if some of you folks want to add me on steam feel free, just make sure to pop a comment saying who it is either on my profile or pm me otherwise I'll probably ignore it.

@Mightyman HTC had previously mentioned they planned to unveil the Vive 2 at CES this January but they then announced they won't be. A vive 2 is in the works, but we don't know what it's going to offer in difference. Right now it is convincing that it will be wireless and the resolution of each lense will be upgraded.
