        @britshgigolo I have got to say, there is so much more to 2stroke porting than this. It is a very interesting subject and one which requires a good understanding of fluid dynamics and exactly what port timing means for each individual design.

          the way i read it the were only opening the exit side of the ports and not the piston side so not really port timing but thats my take on the artical and some things are best left to those that know whaat they are doing for a small price as lots can go wrong

            If you really want to learn more about it then I recommend reading Graham Bell's Two Stroke Performance Tuning. Very good book and will explain a lot.
