hi guys was wondering if anybody could point me in the right direction.
took the bike out this afternoon and it went to 4th gear no problem, downshift to 3rd no problem but thats it thats all the gears i have now.
havent had any indication in the past that there has been anything wrong.
tried adjusting the clutch cable and there is oil upto the mark in the window.
thanks for in advance for any ideas

If I had to guess, it'll be the dog ears.

@admiral323 Yeah they look like dog ears.

I've just been looking into this, not sure how you would only get third and fourth.

third and fifth maybe. But not sequential gears since it doesn't work like this.

I'm afraid it's going to be an engine out jobby and split cases if you really want to find out....

@Calum yes i think the engine is going to have to come out to have a look.think i was secretly hoping for the easy fix.

Just remove ur clutch first to see if it's a clutch issue,it could be a collapsed clutch BB etc

0_1497974599328_IMAG0761.jpg had the time today to open the gear box cover.turns out the problem is a broken return spring.
my next question is how do i get to it?

Think you will need the whole clutch off to replace that. Just remove the gear shifter from the spline and see if you can wriggle it out first.

Yeah just remove the clutch, simple job.

Question is, why has it moved
