    @oldman Yes mate!

    Nice one for repairing the old Exhaust!

    I reckon most stock end cans must be in the bin.

            No word on the wheels yet, still kicking my heels waiting. Tyres,tubes and rim tape arrived and all ready for fitting, new bearings waiting, destickered bike ready for new decals when they come. Frustrating waiting tbh not the most patient, but at least the weather has been poor so not missing out on too much0_1502050545771_20170806_211006.jpg 0_1502050566720_20170806_210901.jpg
            Made a new spout for exhaust, try and get that welded this week0_1502050720734_15020506714941306503137.jpg

              If it was a 1990 model yes, but it's an 88 that seems to have had a bodywork transplant in the early years of its life, by1994 anyway as thats how it was when the owners I got it from bought it. Will be white or blue, sent a query to Yamaha and no response to date and also sent off to DVLA for history and hoping that will reveal original colour

                    Finally had a reply from Yamaha and my bike was white from first registration, dvla history should tell me when colour was changed when that arrives. Phoned wheel builder yesterday am and he said just doing wheels now, great, should have them back today! Oh no!, phone call in the afternoon wrong spokes again apparently, he said he was ordering from Yamaha next. Trouble is I wanted stainless, could not discuss with him at the time as on mini train at the zoo with grandson, ringing him shortly to sort out but seems another week without wheels, bummer!!

                      Yamaha have no stock, delay in getting spokes, be lucky if I have wheels back in 2 weeks

                        It's worth waiting to get what you want at the end of the day.

                        Can someone here help and locate the correct spokes in SS?

                          Doubt Yamaha will have stainless steel spokes so you will probably get the original zinc plated ones again.

                          Have you thought about Central Wheel Components for your wheel build? Would be expensive but you'd get stainless if you wanted it

                            Central wheels are the ones that have sent 2 incorrect spoke sets, if it comes to nothing with the guy doing it will send to central to do, want to give the current builder a chance to sort, seems a decent enough bloke stuck in the middle, REALLY frustrating though. Summer will be gone before I have had a chance for a play. Rear wheel spokes sent were 3.5mm, somewhat oversized.

                              Exhaust off being welded though, so not all bad news

                                If someone has the full specs for the spokes would be appreciated, still my preferred option.

                                  Sorry can't help think my spokes will be a bit shorter than yours

                                  Probably best to send the wheels of to someone who can handle the whole job. I bet Central can produce their own spokes

                                    Exhaust back from welders, just need to refinish now, something to do waiting for the wheels.! Got to cut back spout to suit. Also picked up used rack so that's going to be powder coated
