Sooo it’s sold pending delivery but a deposit has been paid and it’s going to Barry in Wales next weekend but I’ll be glad to tell you all I advertised the bike for 2.1K and got £1975 not to bad made my money back but it’s going to a 17 year old with lots of mummy and daddy money first question was how fast does it go the youth off today

Went a tried as much as possible good fun tho

So got a few hours on the bike today got all the wiring loom labelled and removed.

Few connections need replacing and plugs and a good clean

And everything ready now for the engine to be pulled out

Thanks for all the advice. I have advertised the bike for 2.3K with offers not been ignored I have someone coming this weekend he’s offering 2.1K wether he’s shows or not is a different matter
Not in a rush to sell still unsure but if the right price is paid then maybe

So got back from work yesterday to find out the other half has been shopping for me and started without me

So she has painted my Caliper in blue and my brackets in black

Deffo a keeper this one

Got it sorted removed the shaft like Calum said wasn’t to hard but that another box ticked on the list

@Calum @Glynn123 So the lad came and that was about it he was very “gangster” he had bare money and wanted a brand new dt told me I wouldn’t get anymore then 1K as it wasn’t clean enough for his rep so he told me. I’m going to get the bike through next MOT and if it doesn’t sell by Christmas it’s just gunna sit and gather dust.

This guy put me off selling the bike I haven’t got time to deal with wannabe gangster lol and dreamers

I’m selling a few bits off the bike to fund replacing other things on the bike

Got a few other bits I will make the right thread/post also a few power tools if anyone interested

@sgt-robuck-5 it was only fell once when back end started over taking the front

So today I got the head gasket sorted head not warped lucky enough got it all back together and back home for a wash and wax when the weather cooled down.

Now wanting to change the white out to back so as the months go by I’ll be changing a lot more going for a stealthy look withs Yamaha blue.

@2Stroke4Smoke very helpful went through all wire and found a broken wire replaced and fixed nice bright sparks and fired up

When I first started rebuilding it wasn’t the idea was just gunna be a weekend toy have a good blast around every now and again but things change so until I get my company car it will be used
But with it nearly finished it’s not the best build and not the cleanest and already pricing everything up for a full nut and bolt rebuild and making everything original to keep its value but that’s a long way off

Already keeping my eyes open for something else for a project something I don’t need to use as really enjoyed doing this.

Well starter motor been cleaned down etcand put back on engine fingers crossed

Engine back in bike now with front front forks and wheel

Finally getting somewhere

Banked holiday over and got the frame paint swingarm and few other little bits done it’s now to start putting back together and find out what needs replacing

All primed ready for paint tomorrow

Not in bad shape all straight etc but of rust round the rear off the frame but nothing to serious

So having owned my dt nearly a year and After finding a few faults and some pretty bad Bodge jobs iv decided to rebuild the bike back down to the frame everything painted all new bearing etc etc.

Since iv have only started this weekend there isn’t much to show as only stripped the tank panels etc but this was the bike before I started

Undecided on colour yet might stay original
Really want to supermoto it but don’t know if the budget can stretch that far.

Problem will need a far bit of advice along the way as this will be my first rebuild

I end up buying an aftermarket start motor off eBay for £65 brand new fixed the problem my old motor was seized up and unable to turn hope this helps
