I've been told the skirt is the spec area...its snug there, towards the top is the bigger gap due to cylinders being oval and because the heat is greater top end, therefore slightly greater space for expansion.
I've just ordered 2 o rings and 1 LH seal from Yambits, I might as well service the power valve whilst the cylinders off. Thanks for your info, its been a good first week on the forum.

Forgeot to ask where's the best place to get the YPVS o rings/seals, I want to carry out a service on it whilst the barrels off.

The coffin cover knocked it up myself, used the existing screws holding the cylinder.

Hi Spookdog. The bikes a 1991 French import, cheers for the info about the screws. It looks all original, I've had it about 3yrs but recently started the top end. Took the cylinder to a local bike engineers who bore and fit a new piston, the original was 56mm its now been bored to 57mm but the piston seems sloppy in the barrel, can get a larger feeler down than speck....not good! Its bound to slap if over sized!? Whats your thoughts, its not back together yet.
