It’ll slap and get worse quickly, well it has in my experience.
Piston should be tight in the bore. The only place I would get a rebore done now would be a reputable one. I use PJME because I heard nothing but good about them and the finish is excellent. I used a local engineer to get a barrel honed and it came back looking like it was raped by a Brillo pad!..

If it’s as bad as you say I’d take it back to be fixed. You paid for a service you should be happy with.
Can you post pics of the finish in the barrel? If the it’s that bad I’m concerned about the hatching and the port skirting

The coffin cover knocked it up myself, used the existing screws holding the cylinder.

Looks smart I do love custom bits my brother made me some of these chain adjusters
So much nicer than the OEM steel ones

Yeah the chain snails look smart, you can get aluminium ones on eBay for very little money. Needs the internal diameter reaming out mind you.

Forgeot to ask where's the best place to get the YPVS o rings/seals, I want to carry out a service on it whilst the barrels off.
