Thanks Calum, any thoughts on the bike? Another thought I've just had. I am going to offer the guy who bought the DT I was looking at more than he paid for it!

R or LC ? -
R or LC ?This is on ebay at the moment. Is it typical of what you find for sale? Any thttps://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Yamaha-DT125LC-DT125-LC-Mark-1-10V-1983-Blue-Starts-runs-well/273042003001?hash=item3f92925439:g:qR4AAOSwqfZaau49houghts?

R or LC ?You are right there Calum. The numbers matched on the DT and it had all paperwork with it. I want something that needs working on and let's hope.

1989 rebuild updateFantastic work. Beautiful bike.
-
R or LC ?Hi, yes I saw that for sale. But to be honest, the one I stalled on was the same price and practically a runner with no parts missing as far as I could see. That's not gonna come around again. So you can understand why I'm kicking myself now.
-
R or LC ?Have you heard the phrase , 'snooze and you lose'? well I stalled on buying the DT I have been talking about and going today to see it with the intention of buying it, found it in the back of a van! A guy had just bought it! It was a non runner and I took too much time investigating parts availability e.t.c. And it was dirt cheap! Hey ho, live and learn.

Plastics? That's cool and definitely something to note. Cheers.

Plastics? The original colour I'm looking at is white. There is some damage and parts have been repair stitched together. I saw those ebay ad's. The front of the sale states bikes from 98-03. Then it's stated that they are compatible with 88-03.
I've seen plastics scraped to improve their condition but I've heard white is very difficult to get results. Any experiences? -
Plastics? So guys, just how available are plastics for a 1992?
-
R or LC ?From what I can see from pics, the LC has a seat that is deeper, perhaps more comfy? and some have drum brakes.
-
R or LC ?Cheers Calum. I thought that was the case. At the moment I'm hoping to get this DT so I wouldn't be after another bike.
-
R or LC ?Hi all, I'm getting a little confused! The DT I have been looking at turns out to be K reg'. That makes it 1992. Is this a DT125R or DT125LC?

Hello all.@oldman Hi, at the moment it has white plastics without stickers or transfers. The plastics will need renewing though. The frame is also white. I will post pics when I pick it up.The only thing I can see that is missing is one of the rear grab rails. A closer look might reveal more things.

Hello all.@calum hi again. I have seen some cool modified dt's but I am thinking more closer to original.
-
Hello all.Hi and thanks for the welcome Calum. Well you've made me a little happier regarding the mileage. I'll certainly have a build thread going. Like I said, all looks original, which is good, but definitely a rebuild job. Gonna surf through the rest of the forum now. Thanks again.

Hello all.I'm looking to rebuild a dt125 as a first project. This looks a good place to share experiences and info. I'm looking at a prospect at the moment. A 1993 that looks all original, a non runner with 21000m on the clock. What do you think about the mileage guys?
