DT125R FORUM

@SpookDog Standard front is 18 and rear 17 for the TDR. I’ve got a set of DT hubs and will get some rims made up with them but the info I’m after is has anyone done this and what issues did they encounter, around spacers bearings spindle size etc

@Scootjockey If the parcels import form states "gift" then you shouldn't need to pay import duties on it. I've had a few large ticket items in that way. Obviously, I've bought them for my sole use. Whereas people who are buying en mass to sell them on will need to pay tax on it.

@Scootjockey Thanks bud That adaptor is the correct size for the DTR main bearings and crankcases but potentially you could have one made for any engine. Mine was done by a local machine shop. Even when you watch the Rocky Mountain ATVMC how-to vid where the crank puller is branded "Tusk" for the US market they still transmit a side load through the bearing and lots of people have commented on it https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p0LK30KVWJg&t=404s

@Scootjockey I ran vapor trail digital clocks, but not because of the Zeel, but because I swapped out the forks and wheels for USDs and Aprilia RS 125 wheels respectively.

@SpookDog Now there’s some miles on it We’ve been opening it up a bit. Still running Kmh clocks and I kinda know they will be out but with me pushing 14 stone that’s close to 90kg in new money with jacket helmet boots n gloves it’s revving out in 5th and pushing 9.5k in top well into the 120-130kmh. So I’m well happy. One thing I am really pleased about is it’s still pulling past the power through the gears and it didn’t drop past 8k with a bit of an incline. I’m sure if I was 17 again weighing in at 10 stone wet it would be well into the red. The exhaust tone from the full DEP just makes you want to blast it everywhere

@markus-w The KTM lc2 use a 520 chain on the water-cooled dtr 125 engine. Maybe you can fit a bigger front sprocket from this bike.
