Carb clean abs rebuild help

@calum I have by way of a washer heightening the choke ever so slightly it’s my only option right now and it runs beautiful
-
@terry-tz Yeah, kinda my thoughts.
Depends what he has actually done though. But doesn't sound like it's addressing the issue...why is it running lean?
-
@calum seized air fuel screw no means of getting it out yet it’s proper in there litteraly just fitted a washer to the choke push rod to richen the mixture

but won't this mean you have less 2 stroke oil going through they seem to send a fair bit but your changing the mix at all rev ranges so it might be rich at 1-3k but very lean at higher revs
-
@finnerz89 It's driven off a nylon cog directly from crankshaft. So yes and no. It is driven from both the throttle and crank.
-
but the choke is not and you are putting more fuel in from the choke I don't know just saying its possible and when your at mid revs the choke might not give either fuel also and from my understanding, they lean out mid revs before getting rich again so could be a problem just what I would be thinking about if it was me I mean I would try what he has done, to be honest, but I would be like to fix it asap

@calum I could've worded that better, driven off the crank, controlled by the throttle. Either way a rich fuel/air mix won't really affect the amount of oil supplied by the pump will it?
@finnerz89 I think, in this instance, the fuel change is so little that it's not really the issue here.
The issue is that putting a washer behind the choke isn't fixing the problem, and I think we're all in agreement with this.

@Calum agreed but the oil might still be an issue as the choke is not driven off the throttle and is supplying some fuel without the throttle ie no oil well low oil relative to fuel and it probably won't keep enough flow in the mid-range so low oil plus low fuel I would be riding with caution unless I was confident I was getting enough might not be much difference but I suppose it depends on what you use your bike for

@declan I'm not digging mate I would probably do the same I mean I been running mine with twisted bottom yoke from were I came off, br10 plug no br9's at the time, buckled front wheel and a few things holding together with cable ties
and a few other bits and bobs just pointing out the risks of not fixing

@terry-tz oh ye guys remember the thread about iridium plugs well I restricted my bike for a friend never ridden before and it went around the field and the plug was foiled tried cleaning multiple times like 5 - 10, in the end, i put the br10es in iridium plugs are sh!te I tried them one last time and it let me down that's the last time I ever use one again
